King Kay - Tears - An analysis

The song starts out with a generic chorus which was built in with the beat ...the YHB(young hustler baby) tag was a good call . It displays some  form of musical intelligence from the guy

Opening lyrics

I really can't believe That I did it again. Now I'm sitting in my room With eyes full of tears. I need you in my life, Please dont walk away. I'm tired of being the man, Girl I wana be your man.

a clear indication of deep regret from the writer ...a good play of words "i am tired of being the man , i wanna be your man'  This is an indication that the writer suffers from multiple personalities. He is something else to impress the general public and probably the sweetest guy when he is with his girlfriend

Like a DNA test, Let me tell you the truth Girl I lied and I cheated yeah I broke your heart Dont wana play the blame
here is a simple simile which we clearly do not expect in love songs ...DNA test have some sort of accuracy which the writer uses to pour out genuine feelings ...genius of him

 Verse 2
Even though I hurt you You can't deny that I love you You know I do I mean look at all the things That we have been through When your daddy passed away I was there for you And your friends turned Against you I was there with you Baby you can't deny it I have always cared for you

hmm is it me alone or do i sense some form of desperateness from the writer in this regard ? He is actually black mailing the girl into taking him back . Now i dont know about you but this usually happens when you really messed up and cannot justify it . its called love

Baby girl I love you I would do anything Just to be with you And I am what I am Because of you

the above lines reassure us of the opening lines of verse two ...its actually a good way of keeping your in check with your topic .

Verse 3Who will I call when I need some booty call? Above all,
Personally i am not happy with the opening lines of the third verse , it becomes a simple question of can you call your lover for a booty call ? it doesnt seem concrete

He goes on to ask the girl multiple questions that show us the nature of this dream relationship ..its beautiful really . The hopes , the dreams , the activities .
this is probably young love at its best and is bound to make you feel nostalgic. I guess the setting here would be 15/16 year olds ??
He drops the bomb with a "where ever you are i hope you can hear me" . Its is common for people writing about people they will never see to use that line. Its not an appeal nor does it show hope ?? i feel the last two lines should have had better conviction and weight

Flow- 3/5
Beat- 5/5
Content- 4/5
Lyrical intelligence- 2/5
Articulation- 2/5
Overall- 5.5/10

Jay Electronica Feat JaYZ- WE MADE IT(Drake DISS)

DOWNLOAD FOR FREE HERE

Oh Drake, why did you ever cross Hov? Jay-Z is firing back at the Canadian rapper in a new song for dissing him in a Rolling Stone Interview back in February.

Jay-Z, 44, is letting Drake have it in a new track entitled “We Made It.” In the song Hove goes on to diss Drake by not even referring to him as a man. Drake managed to get under Jay’s skin by dissing Hove’s use of art references in his songs. We bet the “Too Much” rapper wished he’d kept those comments to himself.

Jay-Z Disses Drake In Retaliation For Canadian Rapper’s Disrespectful Remarks

On March 23, Jay-Z opened up about Drake’s recent Rolling Stone comments concerning the use of art references in a verse on Jay Electronica’s “We Made It” track.
“Sorry Mrs. Drizzy for so much art talk,” Jay Z raps on the track. “Silly me, rappin’ ’bout s**t that I really bought — while these rappers rap about guns that they ain’t shot — and a bunch of other silly s**t that they ain’t got.”

Jay Z’s “Drizzy” reference stems from Drake’s trade mark alias, a name dropped several times during his interview. In that interview, Drake openly criticizes Jay Z’s references to art in his lyrics.

“It’s like Hov can’t drop bars these days without at least four art references,” Drake says in the article. ”I would love to collect [art] at some point, but I think the whole Rap/art world thing is getting kind of corny.”

Jay-Z Disses Drake In New Track ‘We Made It.’

Prior to that, Drake was believed to have made a reference to Jay Z and Kanye West on “Im On One.”

“I’m just feelin’ like the throne is for the taking,” Drake raps on the track. ”Watch me take it.”
In its article, Rolling Stone notes that Drake’s line is likely a reference to Watch The Throne, a collaborative album made by Jay-Z and Kanye in 2011.

In the article, Drake admits that he wasn’t in good graces with Kanye and Jay at one point. ”It was a lack of communication paired with natural competitiveness,” Drake says in the piece. “But those two are gods to me.”

SPAZA HIP HOP BEEF

Ok Ok ....so i was going through my facebook timeline when i saw a status update with 56 comments and no likes and i just knew ..BEEF!!!!

i found an interesting streak of beef tracks which i jammed for the past two weeks and decided why not share it you know

The first track Ds hoe by Ivy ( download here). If you listen carefully it seems like this guy is tired of Muntu Jobela and he warns Muntu's crew to get away from him.

Muntu and friends replied with this track (Download here)  which sounded more like Friends and Muntu replying . To my surprise  Driemanskaap's DL had joined the beef on Muntu Jobela's team

Vegita who is notoriously known in the EC for killing emcees replied because a certain "Philly" was mentioned and he just hated it (Download here)

take note of how the same beat was used through out the beef , it was just sampled and changed ...

wow Mouthful isnt it ?? lol lets talk about it ...

Dizz Represents Burgersfort Nation wide

In the beginning of 2014 i embarked on a journey within myself. I wanted to walk into myself from the back, write genuine songs without thinking about who likes me , who likes my style and who will like the song i am about to write .
This resulted in me entering a nation wide competition hosted by Hip Hop Beats South Africa. They gave us a 4 weeks to work on a track with the beat they provided.
I finished the lyrics in 2 weeks , the first verse was edited like four times and the second  verse flowed to me as i was busy with 2 other songs i am featured on.

The only time i got to know and appreciate the kind of support i have was when the voting process began , i was taken aback by the relentless support i received from people i know and a couple of strangers.

Thank you to everyone who voted i see you !!!!!
When i was crowned King if Hip Hop Beats South Africa , i said softly to myself ..this one is for Burgersfort !!!!!!
