#hiphopcaresII - feedback

On the 21st of December 2013 at Uber LifeStyle Longthill , Hip-hop cares took to the streets to try and save the Christmas spirit using nothing but music

The venue started filling up at 8pm as the guests of honor were slightly delayed , but that didn’t deter the magnificent congregation at Uber Lifestyle who waited with baited breath for the show to start.

The show was opened by a Humanitarian Honorary award given to the C.E.O of Phihlelelo Bontji Trading Mercy Madire for their contribution to Hip Hop Cares followed by a curtain raising performance from Rap Sharks. Kaytzo followed suit with a thrilling performance. Lil Chief re-adjusted his crown on the mic while Rural Motivation did more than motivate the crowd, they sent them wailing in excitement. A guest appearance by Mr Universtity of Limpopo , Sly mo had the crowd dancing
Amongst other performers there was Slabsta, TIC ,HSP, and Fletcher. Mic Rocker closed the show with a fire works on stage , Literally.

The real attraction of the show were the First Hip Hop Awards in Burgersfort, THE HIP HOP CARES AWARDS: Song of the year was scooped by T.i.c, Producer of the year was a title fit for Jay Axe while Hustlers Ambition was awarded to MeloDramatik . Crew of the year was snatched by H.s.p while Lil Chief was throned with the Infinite Lyricist award. Humanitarian Honorary awards were also given to: Ruth Makena , Sheila Mmutle, Joe Mamogobo , Uberlifestyle C.e.o’s ( Daddy boy & Freddy) , Cb stores Burgersfort while Steelburger/lydenburg News”s award was reserved to be handed over to the editor personally by Hip Hop Cares founder Mandisi “Dizz” Kekana

“The Humanitarian honorary awards’ purpose is to personally thank everyone who made the Hip Hop Cares road easy for me” kekana added

The event was a huge success as the team was able to donate to Bophelong Home based care center at Ga- Mampuru, Mahubahuba at Bothashoek was also a selected beneficiary . Miss Greater Tubatse Municipality Kgaugelo Malatji was given a chance to benefit a charity of her choice and she selected “derde gelukke” at riba cross . All the charities received clothes and food parcels.

The Christmas magic really kicked in when Dizz Kekana , former Miss Limpopo Sheila Mmutle , Miss GTM Kgaugelo Malatji and Mpho Nkosi took to Dilokong hospital on Christmas morning and delivered birthday gifts to Christmas New borns. The nurses and moms were delighted to see the youth of Tubatse standing and doing something , This was also encouraged by Dr OGWU

I did other donations on a more personal level to families in distress which I don’t want to publicize . The next Hip Hop Cares event is coming in June/July , we will “wrap winter” said Kekana before he chuckled .

I would to thank all my sponsors Uberlifestyle, Invasion, CB wear Stores , Phihlelelo Bontji Trading , Deep sounds , Soul depth and Steelburger/Lydenburg news for the media support

the biggest shout out goes to my crew Mic Rocker for administrating Hip Hop Cares as a whole , if it wasn’t for the efforts of Czar, Mo2, Elle and Mpho Nkosi , I would have crushed under the pressure.

The youth of burgersfort has actively taken part in community responsibility, we have proved it and will continue to prove it .
Should one want to join hands with us for Hip Hop Cares in June/july , please contact me on 071 358 8008 or email Dizz.kekana@gmail.com
Together we stand divided we fall, I would be dammed if poverty conquers he concluded
