Cassper Nyovest fights with his homeboy

#FillupTheDome is an exciting venture for South African artists. It will benchmark to all "important" people in the corporeal world as to how far  or how capable a local artist is or can be. The journey for award winning artist Cassper Nyovest whose real name is Refoloe Phoolo has been rocky. He had an encounter with AKA at a club before the release of  MIMI which trended on twitter for a reasonable period of time. He addressed the media in the song for reporting lies about him and he further mentioned that it was because they are jealous of his success.  The song was warmly received but later questioned by people on social networks who accused the Mahikeng born star of bragging. In Cassper's defense we made the following observation. It is okay for a rapper to talk about his struggles but he cannot talk of his success ? that is redundant.

Cassper has been replying tweets and facebook posts with the hash tag #Fillupthedome of late . We came across a squabble between him and Fifi Cooper's deejay. This is someone who potentially went to school with him and hang out with him during their come up days. This is a week after Cass' prodigy Chad da Don said he wont help him fill up the dome. WHooa hectic

#HipHopCares BUNDLE... SHARE THE MUSIC!!!

We had the likes of Doc Shebeleza by Cassper Nyovest and Steve Kekana by L-tido. Now JR who brought us his hit single, Gata lenna, has now joined forces with the likes of Malumkoolkat and Spoek Mathambo who are known for their original sound, to bring us his new single called Bob Mabena.
Duncan, who is Zakwe's protégé, has also joined the 'remake' scene by remaking the kwaito hit track Tsiki tsiki which was originally done by Mdu Masilela and lastly Major League Djz in collaboration with Ricky Rick, Cassper Nyovest and Siya Shezi have come up with their 'New Age Kwaito' hit track, The Bizness... Check out the links below and you be the judge!

Music Scene update : Hip Hop and Beyond

Every party or club you go to will likely jam CaraCara by K.O, After years of being in the shadows South African Hip Hop is finally taking flight.
The new trend seems to be mixing a kwaito song with catchy lyrics that will get people dancing , Early origins of this was when Tumi and Zubz released the Tz Deluxe tape which was a pure appreciation of kwaito music.
BlackLez followed suit with his Mdu remix of GibelaPhezKwendlu(Baba Ka Nomsa) on that Dont Be Scared joint. It wasnt long before Cassper did Doc shebeleza and around the same season CaraCara dropped. Duncan felt out so he remixed TsikiTsiki which has received luke warm reception.

Is hip hop really heading back to kwaito or is this just a phase ?
In other news , our own 50 cent , Motswako Originator Khuli Chana received his twitter verification , It was later followed by AKA's verification. The first rap artist to receive such verification in south africa was GingerBreadMan, Now we really wanna know how twitter decides who to verify if Tumi and Proverb still have normal Twitter accounts.
Speaking of twitter accounts ? between the arrows and spears of the Cassper AKA wars , Slikour got his twitter account hacked on 6th of June 2014. According to what little evidence we have , the @Slikour account was hacked and it was changed to @GingerRapper , with a white guy wearing Britain flagged clothing.

Drama i say , lots of it dished and severed. Singer Teepee was abducted a few weeks back , his car was found smashed windows and he rocked up in the AM all roughed up. @SeanPages confirmed that he is safe and sound and he will be pressing charges. Teepee are you sure you dont know these dudes ??? Hmmm.

So you dont have Dstv or you were in a remote place and could not watch the MTV MAMA Awards?? ...well  here is a list of the winners.
